Receiver was an area of need for the Houston Texans, and they finally addressed the skill position on the final day of the 2023 NFL draft.
Houston traded up with the Buffalo Bills to select former Iowa State receiver Xavier Hutchinson with the No. 205 overall pick in the draft Saturday.
Hutchinson caught 107 passes for 1,171 yards and six touchdowns in his final 12 games with the Cyclones last season.
The 6-3, 210-pound wideout was a first-team All-American last season. Hutchinson also was a three-time first-team All-Big 12 from 2020-22.
Houston traded their 230 overall pick in Round 7 along with a 2024 sixth-rounder to the Bills to take Hutchinson.
