Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio continues to wheel and deal on Day 3 of the 2023 NFL draft.
After working out a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders to get back into Round 5 of the 2023, the Texans immediately traded their No. 109 (Round 4) overall pick to the Philadelphia Eagles per Field Yates of ESPN.
The return to Round 3 of the 2024 draft helps replenish what the Texans lost as part of their moving up to take former Alabama defensive end Will Anderson. The Arizona Cardinals have possession of the Texans’ 2024 third-rounder.
Houston still has a fourth-round pick at No. 109 overall. Last year, the Texans took running back Dameon Pierce with the 107th overall pick.
