Andrew Beck and J.J. Taylor are headed to Arrowhead Stadium for Saturday’s showdown.
The Houston Texans elevated the veteran fullback and running back to the active roster for a showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round.
Since it’s the playoffs, the allotted number of times a player can be elevated from the practice squad no longer is an issue.
Beck, who joined Houston last offseason after starting his career with the Denver Broncos, was expected to make the active 53-man roster before a calf injury limited him throughout most of the preseason. He was released and signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad.

After his return, the Texans elevated him twice during the regular season. He saw little action on special teams and was credited with two offensive snaps against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Taylor actually made the 53-man roster for a bit after running back Joe Mixon was sidelined with an ankle injury for three games. He played in five games before being waived to make room for the return of defensive tackle Mario Edwards Jr., totaling 10 carries for 44 yards.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. CT. The game will be nationally televised on ABC and ESPN.
