A man has been charged after a woman was allegedly stabbed at a Tesco store in South Lanarkshire.
Glasgow Live reported that police were called to the supermarket in Dalmarnock Road, Rutherglen on Saturday. The alarm was raised at around 1.30pm following reports of a serious assault 'at a premises' in the area.
The store was evacuated and police cordoned off the front of the shop, according to the Daily Record. A 25-year-old woman was found at the scene with serious injuries.
She was rushed to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Police confirmed the alleged incident to Glasgow Live at around 5.30pm on Saturday afternoon. At the time, they did not disclose the medical condition of the woman. They did, however, confirm that a 34-year-old man had been arrested in connection.
A force spokeswoman told Glasgow Live : “Officers were called to a serious assault at a premises on Dalmarnock Road, Rutherglen at around 1.30pm on Saturday, July 9. A 25-year-old woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection.”

On Saturday afternoon the woman was in a stable condition and , as of Sunday morning, was still in hospital according to an update from police. They also revealed that the 34-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the alleged incident.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
A force spokeswoman told Glasgow Live: "The 34-year-old has been charged and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, July 11, 2022. When we checked this morning she (the woman) was still in hospital and her condition was described by hospital staff as stable yesterday."
