Supermarket giant Tesco is recalling one of its popular products due to a host of allergy and safety issues.
The Food Standards Agency website regularly updates their website with the latest food and allergy alerts, with Tesco now recalling their own-brand Arrabbiata Sauce due to an undeclared ingredient that is not mentioned on the label.
Customers across Edinburgh and the rest of the UK are being warned over the sauce as consumption may result in allergic reaction fr those with a lactose or other intolerances after a dairy product was missed out on the important ingredient labelling.

Tesco Arrabbiata Sauce
Tesco is recalling their own-brand Arrabbiata Sauce because it may contain milk which is not mentioned on the label.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
The product details are as follows:
- Pack size: 350g
- Use by date: March 2, 2023
Tesco is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers.
These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
The notice reads: "We have been made aware that one date code of Tesco Arrabbiata Sauce 350g may contain Milk which is not declared on the packaging.
"The product could pose a safety risk to those people with an allergy or intolerance to milk. Return the affected product to the store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required."
