Tesco recalls line of popular supplement as customers urged not to take tablets

Tesco is recalling a line of tablets with shoppers urged not to take them due to illegal levels of a chemical ingredient.

The supermarket giant has asked customers to return Tesco Health Omega 3 Fish Oil 30, 90 and 240 capsules after discovering raised levels of glycidol.

The amount of glycidol contained in the capsules is above the legal limit and all the containers which have a best before date up to and including 04/2025 are affected.

Customers who have followed the dosage advice are urged not to panic as the raised levels shouldn't affect their health.

A Tesco statement read: "We're recalling certain date codes of Tesco Health Omega 3 Fish Oil 30, 90 and 240 capsules, as they contain raised levels of glycidol, which are above the permitted legal limit.
