Tesco 'please don't eat' warning as chocolate pulled from shelves

Tesco customers are being urged "please don't eat" a number of chocolate bars that have now been pulled from store shelves.

The supermarket has warned shoppers that a number of confectionary items have been recalled as a precaution. This is because the products may contain milk, which isn’t mentioned on the label.

A Tesco notice reads: "Happi is recalling all batch codes of 3 varieties of Happi Free From M!lk Chocolate Bars 80G, as they may contain milk, which isn’t mentioned on the label.

"The products could be a risk to people with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents."

The affected products are as follows:

  • Happi Free From Plain M!lk Oat M!lk Chocolate Bar 80G
  • Happi Free From Plain White Oat M!lk Chocolate Bar 80G
  • Happi Free From Salted Caramel Oat M!lk Chocolate Bar 80G

All batches and all best before dates are impacted. Anyone with a milk or milk constituent allergy or intolerance is advised "please don't eat" the item(s), but instead to return to their nearest Tesco store for a full refund.
