Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Amazon slash Pimm's price for Wimbledon - here's where to get the cheapest bottle

The sun is shining, Wimbledon has started and Brits up and down the country are wondering whether a barbecue is feasible this weekend. But if there’s one thing beyond strawberries and cream to get you in the Wimbledon spirit, it’s a good glug of Pimm’s.

It was only a few weeks ago that everyone rushed to buy the summer cup drink for the Queen’s Jubilee bank holiday when Sainsbury’s slashed it to better than half price .

And many retailers have once again reduced the price of the popular gin-based tipple - so we’ve taken a look at the cheapest places to pick up a bottle ready to watch the tournament.

Tesco are celebrating the annual event by reducing Pimm’s products for Clubcard holders, meaning customers can save £6.50 on a 70cl bottle of Pimm’s No 1 as it’s down to £10 . Or, premixed cans of Pimm’s and lemonade are £11 , down from £13, working out at £1.10 per can.

Alternatively, if you’re not fussy about brands, Tesco have their own brand Summer Cup available at the ‘low everyday price’ of £8.

Known for their dupes, Aldi also have their own brand drink that tastes similar to Pimm’s for a fraction of the price, with a bottle of Austin’s Classic Summer Punch costing £7.50 for 70cl.

Shoppers can also pick up single cans of Austin’s Classic Summer Punch and lemonade for 89p - perfect for picnics, too.

At Morrisons a 70cl bottle of Pimm’s comes in at under a tenner , down to £9.99 from £16, saving shoppers £6.01, meanwhile a litre is down from £20 to £12 , with a saving of £8 in total. Asda also have the litre bottle down to £12 online and in store.

Despite having the best bank holiday savings, Sainsbury’s are selling a 70cl bottle of Pimm’s for £12, and the litre bottle is still full price at £21, with premixed cans price locked at £1.65.

So it’s Amazon that are selling the cheapest bottle of Pimm’s No1 Cup, with Amazon Fresh revealing a deal which sees bottles down to just £9 until July 3.

The deal is available on AmazonFresh.co.uk , where Prime members can enjoy same-day delivery at no additional cost on baskets over £40. Customers can shop Pimms alongside lemonade, fruit, mint and ice to make the perfect summer drink here .
