Tesco Ireland has announced that Clubcard owners will be able to save all of their vouchers for Christmas spending.
In a statement to the Irish Mirror, a Tesco Ireland spokesperson said: “With the average weekly shop for a household in Ireland at €144.88, shoppers could save at least 1,883 points if they start saving today. This is the equivalent of €18.83 or an extra present under the tree.”
The spokesperson also said that customers can save further by topping up their account with cash to turn into vouchers and get a bonus from Tesco. The bonuses range from €3 for €50 top up to €6 for €100 top up.

The spokesperson explained that, in November, those who opted in will be sent all of their vouchers. “Shoppers can then use their Clubcard Christmas Savers balance to spend on groceries, fuel and presents, such as toys in-store or with Clubcard Rewards partners to give the gift of family days out, hotel stays or entertainment,” they said.
The announcement comes as inflation has reached an almost 40-year high at 9.1% in June, the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show. The cost of electricity was up 40.9% and natural gas was up 61%. The cost of heating your home with oil was up a huge 115.4%
