Tesco customer praises secret message in store as other supermarkets told to ‘fall in line’

A Tesco customer has taken to Twitter to hail the supermarket for its secret message left in the women’s bathroom and is urging others to “fall in line.”

The customer made a trip to a UK branch of the grocery store chain and found a note on the back of the bathroom door which read: “If you are in need of a sanitary product please go to our Customer Services Desk and ask for a bag BETH has left for you.

“You will be given a FREE package with everything you need. We won’t ask questions.

“Don’t feel embarrassed, we are here to help #endperiodpoverty."

One woman reshared the post writing: “Oh OK Tesco! Absolutely loving this.” She went on to say that it is time for others “to fall in line.”

In response to the concept, some women were praising the service, but others had major questions about having to ask.

One woman wrote: “Fab! A step in the right direction....but Why do we even have to ask, 'please sir/madam, can I have......' why can't they be on a shelf to take if required/needed?”

Another wrote: “This is what we want to see, thank you Tesco.”

The Irish Mirror has contacted Tesco to find out whether or not a similar service is available in Irish stores nationwide.
