Tesco Clubcard vouchers worth £17million are about to expire

Shoppers are being urged to spend Tesco Clubcard vouchers worth a total of £17million before it's too late. The retailer said it had found millions of pounds worth of unused vouchers that expire at the end of May.

The supermarket chain said it would tell customers via email if their vouchers are running out on May 31. Customers will need to make sure their contact details are up to date, reports BirminghamLive.

Alessandra Bellini, chief customer officer at Tesco, said: "We know it’s tough right now, so we want to show our customers how we can help them spend less and keep more in their pockets – whether to manage the rising cost of living or do something good for themselves and loved ones ones.”

Tesco has around 19million Clubcard members. The loyalty card lets members collect points on food, fuel, fashion, and more, when they spend in-store and online.

Clubcard holders get one point for every £1 spent in-store and online. For fuel, it's £1 for every £2 spent. The Clubcard scheme at Britain's biggest grocer is rivalled by the likes of the Sainsbury's Nectar scheme, as well as the likes of the M&S Sparks scheme, Boots Advantage Card, Morrisons More and plenty of other loyalty schemes and bonus savings schemes at retailers up and down the nation.
