Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, Sunnestores and Supervalu will be making some changes to their operating hours for the coming week to allow people to dash to their stores before settling in and enjoying the festivities.

Most stores will close on Easter Sunday and open in accordance with their usual Sunday hours for Easter Monday, which can usually be found on their websites.

Here are all of the leading supermarket's Easter weekend opening hours across Ireland.

Aldi

Over the Easter weekend, Aldi Ireland's 150 stores will be open until 10pm on Good Friday and 9pm on Easter Saturday to ensure everyone can pick up their last-minute Easter eggs, hot cross buns and Easter roast essentials.

As with previous years, stores are to remain closed on Easter Sunday but will be open until 9pm on Easter Monday.

The opening times of some stores may vary, so customers should check details on Aldi's website before their trip.

Dunnes Stores

Dunnes will also be making some changes to its usual opening hours over the Easter weekend.

All Dunnes Stores will be open with reduced hours over the Easter weekend. However, these hours will vary from store to store. Some will open late and close early, and others vice versa.

You can check the official website for more information on your local store.

Stores across the country will close on Easter Sunday before opening back up on Monday.

Supervalu

Supervalu will operate to their own individual opening hours, but many are expected to follow their usual Sunday hours on Thursday and Friday.

Customers are advised to check the official SuperValu website for their local store's opening hours.

Lidl

Lidl will be operating regular bank holiday opening hours with their stores opening from 9am to 9pm.

This includes Easter Sunday, when all stores will open from 9am to 9pm.

Tesco Ireland's opening hours vary across each store in the country.

Customers are advised to check their local stores opening hours via the online locater for exact times across the weekend.
