Scotland may still be in the grips of a scorching heatwave with temperatures continuing to soar, but it looks like retailers are already beginning to think of Christmas.
Confectionary giant Terry's Chocolate Orange has officially launched a brand new festive themed chocolate which has already landed in Farmfoods stores across the country. A snap of the new Terry's Chocolate Orange Snowballs was shared to the Newfoodsuk Instagram page where it certainly did nothing to cool shoppers down, despite being four months early.
In fact, it looks like most shoppers were excited by the new chocolate announcement, with some saying that it would definitely "be a hit" this Christmas. And, let's face it, who doesn't love Terry's?
The Snowballs are described as having a crisp sugar shell that is filled with that iconic and moreish chocolate orange flavour - so, just imagine Terry's Chocolate Orange Mini Eggs.
The social media snap was captioned: "New Terrys Chocolate Orange Snow Balls now available at Farmfoods!!
Another Christmas product that has been released in august! -Adam."
The post quickly racked up hundreds of comments and like from shoppers who were so impressed with the new chocolate that it is safe to say that Christmas has begun for some.
"That’s going to be a Xmas hit this year", raved one shopper.
"I'll definitely be buying these lol", commented a second.
"I'll definitely be buying these lol", replied a third.
"Omg", said a fourth.
"Mmmmm need", replied a fifth excited shopper.
Another shopper joked that the new festive launch was a "perfect reason for them to put up their Christmas tree, or at least talk about it." However, despite the excitement over the new Christmas chocolate, there were those few shoppers who thought that it was just a bit too early for the festivities to begin.
"I love Christmas but it’s far too early for Christmas stuff", said one shopper.
"Christmas in August?!", exclaimed a second.
Terry's Chocolate Orange Snowballs are available in Farmfoods for just £1.
