Police have made five arrests after a series of stabbings in Leeds during a 15-minute spurt of violence on Tuesday.
A 43-year-old man was found by police with a stab wound to his armpit in Burton Row at 9.07pm last night (September 13). The stabbing led to a National Police Air Service helicopter being dispatched to the area.
Two women and a man have been arrested in connection with the stabbing which left the victim with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening. Cops then raced to nearby Dewsbury Road just 15 minutes later to join paramedics who were treating another man who had also been stabbed.

The man, 40, was rushed to hospital for treatment to a stab wound to his shoulder. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to West Yorkshire Police (WYP).
In a statement, the force has confirmed both men have since been arrested in connection with the stabbings. Cops continue to stand guard at two cordons in the city today after police taped off part of Dewsbury Road and Burton Row last night.
A spokesperson for WYP said: "At 9.07pm last night, police were contacted by the ambulance service who had been called to man found stabbed in Burton Row, Leeds. The victim, a 43-year-old man, had received a stab wound to the armpit. He was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
"A National Police Air Service helicopter assisted with a search of the area which resulted in the arrest of a man and two women in connection with the incident. They remain in custody.
"At 9.23pm, police received a report that the ambulance service were attending Dewsbury Road where another man had been found with injuries. The 40-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment to a stab wound to the shoulder. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
"Both he and the other injured man have been arrested in connection with the incident. Scenes remain in place in Dewsbury Road and Burton Row and detectives from Leeds District CID are continuing to carry out enquiries."
