Australia’s very own momager, Terri Irwin, has revealed what she thinks about everyone thirsting over her son, Robert Irwin.
ICYMI, in early April, the world went into collective heat over Bonds’ latest underwear campaign, which featured Robert Irwin and his big snake. Literally, this gigantic snake drooped over his shoulders. Kinda like Britney Spears at the VMAs.
With the world’s newfound thirst for the 21-year-old wildlife warrior, Rob was then announced to be a contestant on the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars US.
In the exciting announcement, Rob was shirtless with his gigantic snake, further fuelling the horniness of fans across the globe.
Now, his mother Terri has weighed in on the spicy shoot, admitting that all the new attention her son is getting is “a lot”.
“Steve [Irwin] used to say to me, ‘It wasn’t until I started filming and became the Crocodile Hunter that girls looked at me twice,” Terri told Stellar magazine.
“He was 30, by the way, when we got married. So he goes, ‘Where were they?’
“So on one hand, cool for Robert to have flattering attention, and on the other hand, it’s a lot.
“And Steve used to say to me, ‘I’m glad we met before I was the Crocodile Hunter, because I know 100 per cent for sure that you just love me.’”
Honestly, I couldn’t imagine how Terri feels! It low-key feels illegal looking at those pics!
Reflecting on his rise to heartthrob status, Robert told PEDESTRIAN.TV that the whole journey is a “funny thing to navigate”.
“All I can say is if people are listening to my message, and I’ve got a platform where I can spread a bit of positivity, that’s all I care about,” he shared.
“Whatever form that comes in.”
Crikey! That’s quite the wholesome response, and honestly, I expect nothing more from Australia’s prince.
