Terrance McKinney is back – and apparently Nazim Sadykhov is on his “Wanted” poster.
On Monday, McKinney (13-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) announced his next bout will be July 15 vs. Sadykhov (8-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) as part of a UFC Fight Night card slated for the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The announcement came in an unorthodox video in which McKinney was dressed as a cowboy and fired dinosaur-shaped toy guns while he maneuvered throughout cow statues.
Sadykhov confirmed the booking on Twitter shortly thereafter. An additional person with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
“I’m a Black man and I’m looking for a ‘Black Wolf,'” McKinney said in a reference to Sadykhov’s nickname.

Jokes aside, McKinney seeks to get back in the win column after a brutal flying knee knockout loss to Ismael Bonfim at UFC 283 in January. It was the second time in three fights he was finished with strikes. In his five UFC fights to date, McKinney has not yet gone the distance.
Longo and Weidman MMA’s Sadykhov has shown to be an explosive striker during his time in the international spotlight. Following a brutal knockout win to earn a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series, Sadykhov finished Evan Elder via doctor stoppage due to a cut.
With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for July 15 includes:
- Holly Holm vs. Mayra Bueno Silva
- Walt Harris vs. Josh Parisian
- Ashlee Evans-Smith vs. Ailin Perez
- Azat Maksum vs. Tyson Nam
- Jafel Filho vs. Juancamilo Ronderos
- Chelsea Chandler vs. Norma Dumont
- Carl Deaton III vs. Alexander Munoz
- Ottman Azaitar vs. Francisco Prado
- Evan Elder vs. Genaro Valdez
- Viktoriya Dudakova vs. Istela Nunes
- Albert Duraev vs. Jun Yong Park
- Terrance McKinney vs. Nazim Sadykhov
