Terence Crawford's girlfriend Alindra Person is his biggest fan who has been subjected to vile abuse

Terence Crawford puts his WBO Welterweight title on the line against Amir Khan at New York's Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

Crawford enters the fight as a heavy favourite to defend his WBO belt against Khan for the second time following a successful first defence against Jose Benavidez in October.

The undefeated 31-year-old is widely considered to be one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world after winning titles in three weight classes.

After becoming the undisputed champion in the super-lightweight division, Crawford made the move up to 147lb last year and beat Jeff Horn by a ninth-round TKO to claim the WBO world title in June.

For the past few years, Crawford has been able to enjoy his incredible success alongside long-term girlfriend Alindra Person.

Alindra, who is often referred to as Esha, lives with Crawford in Omaha and can be regularly seen in the World Champion's Instagram posts alongside the other members of their family.

Although, it is not known how long the couple have been together, they are raising five children - three sons and two daughters.

Person gave birth to their first son, Terence Jr., eight years ago and has previously spoken highly of Crawford as a parent.

In 2018, she told ESPN that Crawford has always made sure he is around for the important parts of his children's lives, including birthdays, wrestling matches and dance classes.

Although not a lot is known about Person, she found herself as the unwanted centre of attention after she was fat-shamed by suspended boxer turned Youtuber Tyan Booth in February.

Nottingham-born Booth, a former British Super-Welterweight title challenger, tweeted a clip asking 'should a boxer have a fat girlfriend?' using a picture of Crawford and Person as an example.

Booth's post was met with widespread criticism, including from pro boxer Jamel Herring, who replied: "Why does it matter? If he loves her and they’re raising a family together that’s all that matters.”
