Four-star wide receiver recruit Travis Smith Jr. is announcing his commitment on July 13. Ahead of Smith’s commitment, he is projected to commit to the Tennessee Volunteers, per 247Sports. Smith was previously projected to commit to Georgia, but that has changed over the past week.
Smith, who is No. 15 wide receiver recruit in the class of 2025, is deciding among Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, and Tennessee. Smith took official visits to Georgia on June 1, Auburn on June 7, Alabama on June 14 and Tennessee on June 21.
Travis Smith plays high school football for Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound wide receiver is ranked as the No. 149 recruit in the nation. The Westlake star is the No. 20 recruit in Georgia in the 2025 recruiting cycle, per 247Sports.
Smith may not the Tennessee’s only big recruiting win. The Volunteers are also projected to flip four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte away from Georgia.
The four-star wide receiver prospect plays basketball and participates in track and field. Smith is a good student.
Kirby Smart and Georgia have the nation’s third-ranked recruiting class. The Bulldogs hold commitments from four wide receivers and 19 overall recruits in the class of 2025.
