Tennessee Titans won’t tender OLB Derick Roberson

The Tennessee Titans have reportedly decided not to place a tender on outside linebacker Derick Roberson, which likely means his days in Nashville are over.

The news comes from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. He also notes that Roberson, who was an unrestricted free agent entering the offseason, will now become an unrestricted free agent.

Roberson was an undrafted free agent signing by the Titans out of Sam Houston State in 2019. The 26-year-old made some noise in his rookie season, tallying three sacks in three contests.

Since then, Roberson has struggled to get much going. In 13 games (one start) the last two seasons, the outside linebacker has 1.5 sacks and 20 combined tackles. He has also been plagued by injuries.

The decision to not tender Roberson comes on the heels of the Titans inking Harold Landry to a five-year, $87.5 million deal. Tennessee also re-signed defensive lineman Teair Tart to a one-year deal on Wednesday.
