Prior to embarking on his legal career, Rice had a different kind of professional experience - he played as an All-American catcher in the minor leagues for the Tampa Bay Rays organization. After two seasons in baseball, he decided to pursue his passion for law.
Rice is an alumnus of Western Kentucky University and the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where he honed his legal skills.
