A Tennessee man was arrested after nearly crashing into a parked car while shooting deer from the driver's seat of his pickup truck on Sunday.

James Boyce, 46, was arrested after police responded to reports of a man firing gunshots from his vehicle while driving around a residential neighborhood in Hendersonville. A patrolling officer then identified Boyce's pickup truck after he nearly crashed into a parked vehicle, WKRN reported.

Boyce and his passenger were pulled over and informed law enforcement that they had multiple guns inside the vehicle. Police asked Boyce to exit the car after he exhibited slurred speech and smelled of intoxicants.

When he did so, police realized Boyce was covered in fresh blood, which he said was from a duck hunting trip. They later searched his home and found three freshly killed deer inside. according to WKRN.

Boyce, a convicted felon previously charged with second-degree forgery, was arrested on multiple charges, including reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, driving under the influence and possession of a handgun while under the influence.
