The rapid evolution of digital technology has resulted in a stronger connection between the virtual and real worlds. Many organisations have begun to seek opportunities by developing platforms connected to the metaverse, allowing businesses to create unique user experiences.
According to Deloitte, the potential impact of the metaverse on GDP in Asia is US$0.8T- US$1.4T per year by 2035, roughly 1.3-2.4% of overall GDP.
“Metaverse will be another disruptive technology for several industries that businesses throughout the world will have to pay attention and keep an eye on.” said Krittee Manoleehagul, Vice President of Tencent Cloud International for Southeast Asia and Managing Director of Tencent Thailand.
“In line with Tencent Cloud’s ‘Immersive Convergence’, an integration of digital into the physical world by connecting the virtual and real worlds through cutting-edge technologies, we aim to enhance operational plans through technological advancement. We are ready to do this by providing infrastructure and digital services that allow users to connect with the real and virtual worlds more efficiently than ever before. Businesses can benefit from a wide range of Tencent Cloud’s metaverse-related services which give their users the experience of complete immersion and realism in the virtual world.”
