Council tenants started to move into brand new council houses in Standhill, Bathgate, this week.
The construction of 22 new council homes was done by The Hadden Group at the development adjacent to Lang Drive in the Standhill area of Bathgate.
West Lothian Council recently took over the first batch of properties on site - with work underway towards full completion at the development.
The homes were constructed as part of the development by The Hadden Group, with a range of one & two bedroom cottage flats, to four bedroomed houses.
Bungalows have also been designed and built for people who require accessible housing.
All the homes are set to feature PV panels and have been fitted to allow easy conversion for electric vehicle charging points.
This development is just one of several currently underway across West Lothian as part of the council’s work to increase the social housing stock.
Executive councillor for services for the community, George Paul, recently joined officers from the council’s housing service on a visit to the site to witness the progress first-hand.
He said: “Delivering high quality, affordable homes are a key priority for the council.
“These new homes in Bathgate certainly match that description and I hope the first tenants moving into this development will enjoy life in their new homes.”
