Ten people taken to hospital following three-car crash in Highlands

TEN people have been taken to hospital following a three-car crash in the Highlands.

Emergency services were called to a report of a crash involving a Toyota Prius, a Land Rover Discovery, and an Audi A3 on the B862, Scaniport, near Inverness and Dores, at around 8.05pm on Wednesday.

The driver of the Toyota, along with four passengers, were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with serious and minor injuries, police confirmed.

The driver of the Audi was also taken to hospital with a serious injury, while the four passengers in the car were taken to hospital and were later discharged.

Police confirmed the driver of the Land Rover was uninjured.

Officers closed the road for around seven hours while investigations into the incident were carried out.

Police are now calling on any witnesses who haven’t already spoken with officers to come forward.

Sergeant Neil MacDonald said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for witnesses.

“If you were in the area and have not already spoken to officers then please get in touch.

“Anyone driving in the area around the time of the crash is asked to check dash-cam and see if they have any information that could assist with our investigation.”

Anyone who may be able to help the police with their investigation can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3542 of Wednesday, 2 April, 2025.
