We've had a few years of questioning whether things would go ahead, but 2022 seems to be making a bit of a recovery for events in Glasgow.
If you're planning your next few months, but aren't too sure what's going ahead in the here - we've got you covered. We've found ten events in and around Glasgow that aren't to be missed.

Kilwinning Community Fireworks
The fireworks at McGavin Park are returning on November 4, with a donation of your choice allowing entry.
Visitors are encouraged to make a donation in advance to speed up entry, though collection buckets will be available on the night for those who can’t donate online. The stage, food outlets and rides will open at 4.30pm.
Fire acts and free balloon art begins at 5pm, with organisers adding that DIY fireworks, alcohol and glass will not be allowed on entry. Warm clothes and wellies are recommended.

Strathaven Bonfire Night
On November 5, Strathaven Park will host an evening of fireworks, food and fun.
With bonfires and festivities, the events will kick off at 6pm and wrap up at 11pm. More information can be found here.
Lenzie Family Fireworks
Musical entertainment and big bangs are to be expected at Lenzie Rugby Football Club on November 4.
With food and drinks on offer, amazing fireworks and live music - the event will be raising money for the Lenzie Rugby Club who are hoping to raise funds to build a new clubhouse.

Christmas Funday & Market
Held at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility on November 27, the charity fundraising family funday will include arts and crafts, business stalls, bouncy castles, kids crafts, Mascots, DJ, tombola and much more.

Glasgow Santa Dash
On December 11, you can get involved in the charity event - which is returning to the city for the first time in three years.
The event will see 6,000 people take to the streets - all in the name of charity. The Santa Dash has raised more than £350,000 for various charities since it 'hit the streets' in 2006 and is now a firm favourite in the city's events calendar.
This year they're raising money for The Beatson Cancer Charity and The Lord Provost's Children's Fund. You can find out more here.
Glasgow Vegan Christmas Market
Just in time for the festive season, local businesses will come together at Drygate Brewery on November 20.
Strictly vegan products only, they’ll be showcasing food, beauty, clothes, homeware, skincare, pet products and charity information stalls. Tickets are priced at £4 per person, with more information availablehere.
Glasgow Christmas light switch-on
Glasgow Loves Christmas is bringing the free event back to George Square for the first time since 2019, after it was cancelled for the previous two years due to the pandemic.
The switch on will take place on November 20, with tickets information set to be confirmed soon.
Elfingrove
Skate under the stars in a snow covered winter wonderland, set against the spectacular background of Kelvingrove. Food and drink, a ferris wheel, and ice skating for the whole family will be on offer at Elfingrove.

Irn-Bru Carnival
Held at the SEC in Glasgow from December 23 to January 15, this funfair offers everything from hook the duck to the walzters or a fun house. Open daily until 9pm, tickets can be booked right now here.
Ashton Lane Hogmanay Street Party
With live entertainment, a ceilidh band, street performers and a DJ - there will also be food on offer, as well as several bars. Set to welcome a traditional piper and fireworks, tickets are yet to be released for this event.
George Square NYE Party
While this event only lasts until 10pm, it’s worth a visit. Soak up the atmosphere, enjoy live music, highland dancing ceilidh bands, and a plentiful supply of Scottish food and drink.
What won’t be going ahead?
A few events that are staples in the Glasgow calendar have been cancelled. Already, the organisers of the Glasgow Green Fireworks have said they will not be going ahead.
