It’s nice to get away for a quick break every now and then without having to fork out a huge sum for flights.
With everything so expensive these days due to the rise in cost of living, it can be hard to justify spending a lot of money on a break away.
However, finding affordable flights is half the battle and if you’re looking to head away for a mid-week break, a week-long trip or just want to do something adventurous at the weekend, there are so many places around Europe you could head to for under £35.

To make a comparison we checked the price of an open, off-peak, anytime return ticket from Manchester to Birmginham in March and found that most midweek tickets cost around £43, meaning travellers would have a bit of spending money on top of their £35 trip.
If you want to try solo-travelling, get away with your partner, or go on a friends holiday, there are up to 10 countries you can fly to from Manchester and back for under £35 this March.

Denmark
If you’ve ever fancied heading to Denmark, you can do so with an estimated cost of £23.90 to Billund on dates - March 2 (Thu) to March 5 (Sun).
If these dates don’t suit you can go for around the same price at the end of the month on March 23 (Thu) - March 26 (Sun). If you’re looking for mid-March getaway, you can also head to Copenhagen for an estimated £31 on March 7 (Tue) - March 11 (Sat).
Italy
Plenty of offers popped up if you fancied a trip to see Italy. The cheapest flight was for Milan coming in at approximately £21.80 if you were to fly out on March 1 (Wed) and back on March 4 (Sat).
If you’re looking for the middle of March, this would cost approximately £23 if you fly on March 14 (Tue) to March 18 (Sat). A break to Milan at the end of the month could cost you as little as £24 if you fly March 27 (Mon) to March 30 (Thu).
France
Enjoy a trip to Paris with a loved one for a few night fr £34 from March 6 (Mon) to March 8 (Wed).
In the middle of the month this flight would cost you £32.50 from Manchester Airport to Paris Beauvais-Tille Airport on March 12 (Sun) to March 15 (Wednesday). If the end of the month suits better, for £34 you could fly from March 27 (Mon) to March 30 (Thurs).
Poland
Fly to Wroclaw in Poland for just £29 for four nights from March 7 (Tue) to March 11 (Sat). In the middle of the month you could head for a week away for £30 from March 14 (Tue) to March 21 (Tue).
Romania
You could fly to Suceava Salcea în Romania for the weekend for £26 on March 3 (Fri) to March 5 (Sun). It’s the same estimated price from March 10 (Fri) to March 12 (Sun).
Spain
Head for the sun this March with flights from £26 to Ibiza on March 27 (Mon) to March 30 (Thu).
Belgium
If you want to fly to Brussel, you can do it for £27 from March 1 (Wed) to March 5 (Sun).
If midweek suits better, try March 13 (Mon) to March 16 (Thu) for £28. At the end of March, it could cost you £27 from March 27 (Mon) to March 31 (Fri).
Germany
It’s estimated to cost £28 to fly to Cologne and back if you head on March 1 (Wed) to March 5 (Sun), £26 if you head March 14 (Tue) to March 19 (Sun), and the same price if you go at the later dates of March 21 (Tue) to March 25 (Sun).
Ireland
Take a trip to Ireland’s capital city Dublin for £30 from March 1 (Wed) to March 4 (Sat), March 11 (Sat) to March 13 (Mon), and March 20 (Mon) to March 24 (Fri).
Portugal
Sunny Porto in Portugal costs £30 from March 6 (Mon) to March 8 (Wed). If you want to head for a week at the end of March from 20 (Mon) to the 26 (Sun) it would cost just £33.
