Motorists are being advised that a maintenance programme is to be carried out on the A76 near Auchinleck next month.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are undertaking maintenance on the road at Templeton Roundabout - and its approach roads.
The work includes street lighting, signage and bollard upgrades.
The work will take place from Tuesday, June 6 until Friday, June 23, between 9.30am and 4pm each day.
An Amey spokersperson said: “This scheme will benefit around 10,000 vehicles using this route each day.
“New columns and cabling will improve road safety and reduce the number of maintenance visits needed with updated signage increasing visibility on the approach to the roundabout.
“The work will be carried out using temporary traffic lights at the roundabout.
“We thank road users for their patience and co-operation while this essential work takes place.”
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
The scheme is weather dependent and may be cancelled, or rescheduled, if weather conditions are not favourable.
