Major roads will be closed in Nottinghamshire for a period of time on Saturday (July 9) to allow a carnival procession to pass safely. The Radcliffe-on-Trent Carnival takes place through the day.
In the large village in the Rushcliffe borough of the county, Bingham Road will be closed between its junctions with A52 Grantham Road and Cropwell Road. Main Road will be closed between its junctions with Cropwell Road and Wharf Lane.
The procession will take place between 1pm and 1.45pm in the afternoon, with the roads expected to close shortly before this time, and reopen shortly after the procession has passed. It's so that the procession can pass through Radcliffe-on-Trent.
