Tempers flare again in Nottingham Forest crunch clash vs Wolves

Tempers once again flared between Nottingham Forest and Wolves at the City Ground.

There was a mass scuffle after Forest knocked Wolves out of the Carabao Cup at the quarter-final stage following a penalty shootout at the same venue.

This time the two benches had to be pulled apart after Wolves were adamant they should have had a second half penalty.

Adama Traore went down under Felipe's challenge when he put his hand on his shoulder but nothing was given.

Wolves were incensed and both benches ended up in a heated row. Forest coach Alan Tate and Wolves assistant Pablo Sanz had hold of each at one stage with fourth official Matt Donohue watching on. After calm was eventually restored, both men were shown a red card by referee Chris Kavanagh.

Wolves were trailing 1-0 at the time after Danilo fed Brennan Johnson, who tucked the ball neatly through Jose Sa's legs. There was also cautions for Joao Moutinho and goalscorer Johnson, who was judged to have dived to try and win a penalty when he went down under challenge from Toti.
Wolves might have taken the lead when Mousssa Niakhate turned Matheus Nunes' cross onto his own crossbar with a header.
