Temperatures across Greater Manchester are set to plummet this weekend as conditions become more gloomy.
While some parts of the North have been hit with a flood warning, this will narrowly miss our region with areas such as the North East of England and Yorkshire mainly affected. Despite this, the Met Office still predicts conditions to be unsatisfactory this weekend as dark clouds gear up to dominate the sky.
Today will be the only chance to spot any sun while it makes a short appearance in the later afternoon - after that, it's unlikely you will see it at all for the rest of the week, according to early forecast predictions. Friday
Temperatures on Friday will remain relatively warm throughout the day when compared to the rest of the weekend. While in the morning temperatures will be slightly more chilly, ranging from 8C and 9C, this is expected to warm up slightly by the early afternoon with a maximum temperature of 10C.
Those going on a late morning commute should pack an umbrella as heavy rain is predicted from 11am to 12pm across parts of the region. However, this will only last for a short while as conditions begin to settle by 1pm.
As we approach the evening, temperatures will begin to drop significantly, going all the way to 5C by the late evening.
For Friday, the Met Office said: "A cloudy picture to start with spots of light rain around. Brightening up through the morning with sunny spells in the afternoon. A chilly day, particularly in the breeze around coasts. Maximum temperature 10 °C."
Meanwhile, the evening will be mostly dry and clear accompanied by overnight patchy frosts in some areas with a minimum temperature of 0C.
Saturday
While there will be less rain on Saturday, it is predicted to be colder with the early morning dipping all the way to 3C before rising slightly to 6C by the late afternoon. Meanwhile, cloudy and overcast conditions are predicted for the whole day, lasting well into the evening.
According to the Met Office, Saturday will be a "dry day but largely cloudy with some brighter spells expected in the afternoon. Remaining breezy, particularly around coasts, where it will feel cold. Maximum temperature 8 °C."
Sunday
According to early predictions by the Met Office, Sunday's conditions won't be much different to the day before. Cold temperatures will dominate from the early morning through to the evening while overcast skies are to be expected.
Despite this, conditions will remain dry with a risk of overnight frost in areas where the sky is clear and temperatures are much colder.
