Telstra has fixed an issue that plagued some of its mobile phone users from late Monday well into Tuesday morning.
Tracking website Downdetector showed customers started experiencing issues at 10pm on Monday.
The telco resolved the problem at 10am on Tuesday.
“Good news! The issue affecting mobile calls is now fixed,” Telstra said on Twitter.
“Massive thanks for sticking with us as we sorted it out.”
“Nothing whatsoever in Coober Pedy – absolutely dead!” wrote one customer on Downdetector.
“Trying to get power connected as we just moved into a home and they’re unable due to the network outage.”
Telstra did not reveal how many customers were experiencing issues or any further details about the outage. It said triple zero calls were not affected.
Anyone still experiencing problems has been told to try recalling a number or switching airplane mode on and off again.
The company said triple-zero calls were unaffected but did not reveal how many customers had been hit. It gave no further details for the causes of the outage.
