As telly comic Kevin Bridges and cafe boss Kerry Monaghan married in a traditional white wedding fans were reminded of their unusual love story.
Scotsman Kevin, who lives in a £1m showcase home in Glasgow, said the reason he met his eventual wife was down to his love of coffee beans.
Coffee lover Bridges was a regular at Epicures of Hyndland, where 33-year-old Kerry is the manager.
He was often at the posh coffee shop near his home in the west end of Glasgow - where a full Scottish breakfast costs £9.50 - with fellow comic Frankie Boyle.
Bridges – who has a £1m showcase home nearby – is notoriously private but sources said romance between the coffee shop lovebirds blossomed over a number of months.
They made their public debut as a couple three years ago when Bridges took Kerry to celebrity chef Tom Kitchin’s restaurant in Edinburgh. Kitchin later tweeted a photo of the pair on Valentine's Day.
Bridges had told his 1.2million Twitter followers, saying: “What a feed! Big Tom’s the man!”
Kitchen then posted a picture of the happy pair on social media and appeared to quote Bridges, writing: “Roses are red, violets are blue, I phoned up Tom Kitchin and got a table for two … Hilarious Kevin Bridges. What a pleasure to cook for you both.”
Kerry wrote on social media: “Best Valentine’s night ever, hands down. Thank you sir x.”
The pair then got engaged in June following a three-year romance.
Speaking about Kerry in an interview Bridges said: “She’s a lovely person, brilliant and very supportive and she gets me. Tours can be very stressful and she’s always been there.
