Tell us which TV show you want to come back

BBC TV hits Peaky Blinders and Killing Eve have both come to an end this month, leaving fans without their favourite shows.

The shows have strong Scouse connections. Huge chunks of Peaky Blinders were shot in Liverpool, despite the show being set in Birmingham. And Killing Eve starred Childwall-born Hollywood star Jodie Comer as the sharply dressed assassin Villanelle.

But their fans aren't the first to be devastated by the end of long-running series, and begging for their return. Viewers of Scouse soap Brookside have been demanding new episodes since it was cancelled by Channel 4 nearly two decades ago.

Most fans of cancelled shows end up disappointed. But it can be done. Doctor Who fans lobbied the BBC for years to bring it back, following its cancellation in 1989, until Russell T Davies rebooted the sci-fi show in 2005 to huge acclaim and ratings.

On the other hand, Midlands-based soap Crossroads was brought back by popular demand in 2001, and cancelled again by even more popular demand in 2003.

So, what we want to know is, which much-missed TV show would you bring back?
