Rishi Sunak has announced that the government will introduce legislation that would quash the convictions of the hundreds of post office operators wrongly convicted in the Horizon IT scandal.
The announcement comes after more than 100 new potential victims of the scandal contacted lawyers following the broadcast of an ITV drama, Mr Bates vs the Post Office.
After the drama led to fresh pressure and attention being given to the scandal, in which just 86 of 900 convictions have been overturned so far, we want to learn about the impact of the drama in raising awareness of the issue.
Did you watch Mr Bates vs the Post Office – and if so, how did it affect you? When did you learn about the Post Office scandal – did you know about it prior to watching the drama? Do you feel differently after watching it and why?
