Telangana recorded 256 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, taking the total to 7,86,678. Only 25,341 samples were put to test, of which results of 640 were awaited. No COVID death was recorded on Sunday, keeping the fatality count unchanged at 4,109.
The new infections included 107 from the Greater Hyderabad region, 19 from Rangareddy and 17 from Medchal Malkajgiri.
No case was registered in Nirmal, Narayanpet, and Jangaon. The situation of zero infections in a few districts is being observed after several weeks. A similar situation prevailed before the third wave set in.
Of the total cases, 5,135 were active and 7,77,434 had recovered.
