A teenager was fighting for his life last night after he was stabbed in the neck.
The victim suffered serious injuries in the River Valley area of Swords at around 8pm. Sources say the man, who it is understood may be 19, was rushed to hospital but is critically ill.

Sources say he was talking to a man – who then leaned through the driver’s window – and stabbed him once in the neck. The victim drove off, but then stopped his car a short distance away, got out of the vehicle and collapsed.
Paramedics treated him at the scene, before he was rushed to the city’s Beaumont Hospital, where he was seriously ill last night.
A Garda spokeswoman said: “A male aged in his late teens has been taken to Beaumont Hospital and his condition is described as critical.
“The scene is currently preserved and no further information is available at this time.”
