Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a teenager was found with fatal injuries after his moped crashed into a parked car in Tottenham.
Police were called to the scene at Constable Crescent alongside paramedics at 5pm on Monday. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene around half an hour later.
Officers said: “His next of kin are aware. At this very early stage police believe he may have been riding a moped and collided with a parked car after being attacked.”
The Met said it was still working to confirm the exact nature of the victim’s injuries and to establish where the initial alleged attack took place.
Experts are trawling through CCTV footage from the area to establish the circumstances leading up to the death.
No arrests have been made. A crime scene remains in place in the location.
Footage from the scene shared on social media appeared to show an overturned moped with a police van and ambulance present.
