Police have charged a 15-year-old boy with allegedly firing gunshots at a school building in Perth's north.
The former student was charged on Thursday evening with a range of offences, including discharging a firearm in a manner to cause fear and possessing a prohibited weapon.
Police allege he took two high-powered rifles from his home and drove to Atlantis Beach Baptist College where he fired three shots which pierced the side of a building.
The boy was arrested at the scene, and dramatic police vision released on Thursday showed the moment officers pushed the boy to the ground and handcuffed him as he lay on his stomach.
The incident happened just before midday on Wednesday, sending the school into lockdown and pupils to seek shelter under their desks.
The police vision showed bullet holes in the walls of a demountable classroom, and police moving through hallways and classrooms giving the all clear to those taking cover.
The vision also shows police running to a black four-wheel drive in the school car park, before an officer is heard to say the "firearms are secured in the vehicle".
The keys to the vehicle were seen to be in the ignition, with what appeared to be a rifle bag on the passenger seat.
Ammunition surrounded the car on the ground of the car park and on the floor of the driver's seat.
Parent tells of fear and panic
A parent whose two young sons attend the college told of her panic and fear after hearing of the shooting.
Tammy Byrnes told ABC Radio Perth her sons had recounted students taking cover underneath their desks, some in tears.
She said she and other parents received a text message assuring them that everyone was safe and police were on-site, before being allowed to collect their children one by one.
The teenager is due to appear in Perth Children's Court on Friday.
