A 17-year-old has been charged after a man was stabbed during a machete brawl involving six men at a shopping centre in Melbourne.
Six men – two armed with machetes – began fighting inside Highpoint Shopping Centre at around 6.10pm on Thursday, police said.
An 18-year-old man from St Albans was taken to hospital after suffering a stab wound to his arm.
Two teenagers, both aged 18, and a 17-year-old were arrested at the scene.
One of the teens, from Braybrook, has been charged with intentionally causing injury, affray, assault with a weapon and possessing a controlled weapon.
Another man was released pending further enquiries, while the third has been released with intent to summons.
Investigators are appealing to the public for any information to identify the two other malesinvolved in the incident.
Last week, a similar brawl involving men armed with machetes and axes erupted at Melton's Woodgrove shopping complex, where they allegedly threw furniture and terrified shoppers.
