Police are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old was assaulted and robbed in Balloch Park.

The incident happened around 8.10pm, on Wednesday, July 20, near the jetty.

He was taken to The Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment to a facial injury, before being released.

Detective Sergeant Nicky Beattie from CID Clydebank Police Station said: “The park was busy at the time of the incident and we are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the assault or has video footage of the incident.”

“We want to reassure the public regular high visibility patrols will be carried out and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.”

“Everyone should be able to enjoy the park, and we want to ensure it is a safe place to visit.”
