A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of inviting support for Hamas at a pro-Palestine protest in London.
The 19-year-old woman from central London was arrested around 7.30am on Wednesday on suspicion of a terrorism offence during a 'March for Palestine' rally in Camden on October 19.
The terror group Hamas, which was responsible for the October 7 attack where around 1,200 Israelis were killed and hundreds taken hostage, is a proscribed organisation in the UK. Inviting support for it is an offence under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
The woman is in custody at a central London police station and an address in central London has been raided, Metropolitan Police said on Wednesday.
