Teenager arrested as police investigate 'unexplained' death of man in Paisley

A MAN has died following an alleged "disturbance" in Paisley. 

Emergency services responded to Maree Road and Lochbroom Road in the town after the alarm was raised at around 4.15pm on Saturday, January 18.

Police say a 21-year-old man was found seriously injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The death is currently being treated as "unexplained" and his next of kin are aware. 

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged assault.

Enquiries into the reported incident are ongoing and during this time officers will remain in the Foxbar area. 

Detective Inspector Euan McMillan said: "Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident, however, there is no threat to the wider public.

"Officers will remain in the Foxbar area as enquiries are carried out and anyone with any concerns, can approach them."
