A teenager has been arrested after 5.5 kilos of herbal cannabis was seized in a joint operation by Revenue and gardai.
The drugs worth €110,000 were found when a residential premises was searched in Santry under warrant. The raid was part of an investigation targeting people involved with an organised crime gang operating in the area.
The teenager is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Ballymun Garda station. The search was carried out by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Ballymun and Coolock Divisional Drugs Units.

This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
