Teenager and man dead after three people 'stabbed' near nursery as group film music video

A man and a teenage boy have died after three people were 'stabbed' near to a nursery as a group began to film a music video. A third male victim, aged 28, is in hospital with stab wounds following the attack.

It's believed there was a gathering in a car park in Islington, North London, which is said to have gone wrong during the shooting of the video, reports the Mirror.

Emergency services raced to the scene at 11.30pm on Thursday. Police and paramedics discovered a boy, believed to be aged 15, with stab wounds. Medical staff worked on him, but despite their best efforts he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, just after midnight.

It was established that another victim, a man aged 23, had also suffered stab injuries. He had been taken to a west London hospital, where he too was pronounced dead. The stabbings happened near a nursery.

Officers have informed the next of kin of both victims. They are being supported by specially trained officers. Formal identification and post-mortem examinations will be conducted in due course.

The third victim was also located at an address in N19. He had suffered a stab wound and was taken to a north London hospital where he remains. His condition is not thought to be life threatening.

An anonymous resident told MyLondon: "There was stuff going on outside for ages. They were filming a music video. And that was from 9pm onwards, all very friendly, a few neighbours went down and were chatting.

"There were lots of really good cars and stuff, it was all fine. And then later on there was lots of people doing laughing gas. Basically a few hours later around 11pm there was a lot of noise. We heard shouting that somebody had been stabbed. We did not see what happened.

"Initially it was a group of mates filming a music video and it was fine but then other people arrived. There was a guy who was holding a gun but we decided it was a water gun.

"It was intimidating even though it was a music video, there was a lot of people and a lot of shouting and the music was really loud. It's mad that people died."

Another resident said: "You had around four to five expensive cars, mainly Mercedes, people dealing with each other and noise. There was an unusual number of gangs."

The Specialist Crime Command have launched an investigation. An extensive crime scene is in place and urgent enquiries are ongoing. Police believe a large number of people were present when the attack took place and are urging witnesses and those with information to come forward.

There have been no arrests at this early stage. A Section 60 Order granting police additional stop and search powers has been authorised.

Chief Superintendent Andy Carter said: "My thoughts are with the families of the two victims who have suffered such an unimaginable loss in this shocking and unacceptable incident. We will support our colleagues as they investigate and members of the public will see an increased policing presence in the area.

"I urge anyone who has information that can help us establish exactly what has happened to approach those officers or contact us immediately. A man and boy have lost their lives and we must now work together to identify those responsible and remove them from our streets."
