A teenager was rushed to hospital along with one other person following a serious crash in Ayrshire.
The crash took place between Lochwinnoch and Kilbirnie at around 5.50pm on Wednesday, July 6 and involved a silver/green Smart Plus and a Vauxhall Vectra.
The 19-year-old male driver of the Smart Plus was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment where they remain.
The driver of the Vectra was taken by ambulance to Royal Alexandria Infirmity for treatment.
The road was closed for three hours while investigations took place.
Police Sergeant Chris Hoggans of the Road Policing Unit said: “One of the vehicles involved in the collision was a distinctive bright green colour. We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.
“I would like to thank members of the public for their patience while we carried out our investigation into this serious crash.
“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2532 of Wednesday, July 6, 2022.”
