A teenager who plotted to kidnap, torture and murder a former lover because he was sleeping with other women has been jailed.

While on the way to his house she asked if they could take a detour, where she got out and collected two filled shopping bags in October 2019.
As the 23-year-old man continued driving, George became insistent they go to a nearby park and on several occasions grabbed the steering wheel.
When the victim resisted George pulled out a knife and threatened him, Sussex Police said.
A struggle ensued as the pair left the van and fought in the street, during which the victim managed to throw the knife into a bush.
George, now 20, was jailed for more than 13 years after admitting attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place at Hove Crown Court.
Police say they found items that alluded to "sinister intentions" such as a Stanley knife, bleach and protective clothing".
When they searched her address in Brighton they found a disturbing "to-do list" that detailed her plans on killing the victim.
Judge Christine Henson said: "It seems from all I have read in this case, that you were fixated and consumed by revenge as you considered the victim had been seeing other women.
"You went to meticulous lengths to plan your attack. It is clear you knew what you were doing was wrong and your planning included evading responsibility and detection."
She added: "The author of the pre-sentence report considers you to be a very high risk to intimate partners if you feel jealous or insecure.
"Although it is an isolated incident, it is deeply concerning and your ability to conceal it from those around you makes it all the more troubling.
"A casual relationship is a relatively common occurrence in the lives of many. The extreme nature of your response to this was completely abnormal.
"It is clear you pose a risk to those you believe has let you down. This was not a sudden and spontaneous reaction but one you thought about and planned for weeks before attempting to carry it out."
A police spokesperson said: "George, from Highbrook Close, Brighton, bit her victim's finger down to the bone while he made a 999 call to the police, as did a watching member of the public.
"Officers arrived on the scene and arrested George on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and possession of a bladed article but a search of her shopping bags and home address uncovered even more sinister intentions.
"The bags contained items such as protective clothing, cleaning equipment such as bleach, duct tape and a Stanley knife - all linked to plans to kidnap, murder and ultimately cover up her crimes.
"A search of her address also found a number of notes in the form of 'to-do lists', featuring plans including 'drive to grave site', 'torture [sic]' and 'walk him to site, kill and bury'.
"George was subsequently charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon, to which she pleaded guilty at trial in May 2021. She was remanded in custody and has now been sentenced at Lewes Crown Court."
Detective Superintendent Jon Hull said: "This was a cold, premeditated plan to kidnap, torture and murder an innocent man, with clear steps to then cover up the crime.
"I am in no doubt that George would have followed through with her hugely disturbing 'to-do list' were it not for the victim overpowering her and the prompt response of our officers to bring her into custody.
"I would like to thank the victim for his support in this investigation, the member of the public who called 999 and everyone involved - particularly Detective Paul Thomas who was in charge of the investigation - for helping to take a dangerous individual off the streets."
