Police are searching for a group of youths who left a man in hospital following an attack in Coatbridge.
The 32-year-old was on a pathway near to Earlston Crescent at around 7.30pm on Thursday when he was assaulted.
He was taken to University Hospital Monklands for treatment and later discharged. The extent of the man's injuries is unknown.

An investigation has now been launched with officers looking for a group of male youths aged between 15 and 16 wearing dark clothing in connection with the incident.
Detective Constable Lyndsay McKinnon of Coatbridge CID said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to come forward.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around that time.
“Anyone who may have information which could assist our enquiries are asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3070 of Thursday, September, 29.
“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
