A 15-year-old schoolgirl was found dead in Uddingston at the weekend.
The body of the teenager was discovered by police officers at roughly 8.30am on Saturday, April 22, near Union Way in the South Lanarkshire town.
Authorities say there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report is being prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30am on Saturday, April 22, the body of a 15-year-old female was discovered near Union Way, Uddingston.
"There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
