A teenaged Philadelphia Eagles fan suffered a brain injury after falling from a light pole while celebrating the national football team qualifying for Super Bowl 2025.

The 18-year-old teen was rushed to a nearby hospital after falling from the light pole during the city's celebrations Sunday night despite the mayor warning attendees to remain cautious, ABC6 reported.

"You don't want to be in a celebratory moment, you know, have a tragedy occur," Mayor Cherelle Parker pleaded before the game, according to ABC6. "Please don't climb the poles."

The teen is currently in critical condition, suffering a brain injury from head trauma.

Additionally, law enforcement is investigating a slew of criminal activities that occurred throughout the night, including two shootings, a stabbing and multiple vehicular assaults, ABC6 reported.

The Eagles defeated the Washington Commanders to advance to Super Bowl 2025 where they will compete against the Kansas City Chiefs as they compete in their fifth championship game in six years.
