A teenage boy lost his life in the early hours of this Saturday morning when the car in which he was a passenger was involved in a collision with another vehicle in Co Cork.
The tragic crash took place at approximately 1am on July 1 on the M8 at Ballybeg in Mitchelstown.
Emergency services and Gardaí rushed to attend the scene of the accident, where they discovered two vehicles that had collided with one another.

A male youth aged in his teens suffered fatal injuries in the crash while four others in that car - including the driver aged in his teens, a male adult passenger aged in his teens, a female youth passenger aged in her teens and a male youth - were transported to Cork University Hospital, where they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision, a woman aged in her 30s, was rushed to CUH to receive treatment for serious injuries.
Investigating Gardaí have now issued an appeal for information from anyone, particularly those who may potentially have video footage of the accident, to come forward.
A Garda spokesperson told The Irish Mirror: "The scene remains preserved this morning to allow for a technical examination, with local diversions in place.
"Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to come forward to them.
"Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have video footage (including dash-cam) is asked to contact Gardaí.
